Our primary focus is on the small-group format workshops based on the book, "Buried in Treasures," written by Dr. David Tolin, Randy O. Frost, and Gail Steketee. Our group leaders utilize the facilitated self-help program designed by Dr. Randy O. Frost with Lee Shuer. This program was designed to meet the growing needs of community hoarding task forces who could not adequately address the number of requests for help from individuals who self-identified as being plagued by hoarding behaviors.
The workshop includes 12-two hour sessions and includes topics such as personal values, reducing acquiring, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Problem-solving and decision-making skills are critical in building new habits and mindsets to overcome hoarding tendencies by supporting:
-decreased influx of items into the home; as well as,
-increased discarding or elimination of accumulated items within the home.
Workshops are currently forming, scheduled to begin in early January 2014. Contact us for more information on how you can be a part!
